31/1/2014. Super Toy Cars is now beta!
It's been a long time but we've finally reached beta, yay! The game has suffered some major changes and improvements. Some of them you'll be able to appreciate, such as the new cool art style, more in line with the tone of the game, some you can't appreciate just yet (such as the massive improvement in handling).
We're working really hard to finish this game ASAP and have it in your hands. It's going to be still a couple of months, but it's getting there. If there are other news we'll let you know in this space. In the meantime, don't miss the new screenshots and the brand new trailer here.
4/2/2013. Barranco Perdido: A free platformer from Eclipse
And so, we're back with our first commissioned work. We hope you enjoy this game, and we really mean it, since you can play it for free!
It's an old school platformer, one of those where you knock out your enemies jumping on top of them, where you have to navigate your way through a maze of ladders, ropes, death slides, doors that open when you shoot the right target... and dinosaurs! Yeah, it has dinosaurs in it. I guess that makes it cooler instantly, right?
In any case, please give the game a go. Go to the game page here to find instructions. And if you'd like to see the game on your mobile device, don't you worry we're already hard at work on the iOS and Android versions. More news on that soon!
3/12/2012. Super Toy Cars Announced!
Long time no see! We've been definitely a bit quiet as of lately. We've been very busy preparing many surprises for you, this being the first of them! So you thought we had completely abandoned the idea of doing racing games? Well, we haven't! We love old school top-down driving games and thought Toy Cars could do with a tweak or three.
So we're proud to finally unveil the latest game we're working on: Super Toy Cars. There's not a lot of info yet, but you can already browse a few screenshots and some info on the game here

19/3/2012. EcoFish Announced!
Our latest project, the one we've been working on during the past 5 months, is finally unveiled! It's called EcoFish and it's what has finally resulted of what started as a port of LightFish to mobile devices.
It's got almost nothing in common with LightFish now and we're very proud of the final product. It's a very polished game which makes great use of the touch screen making for a unique and fun gameplay mechanic.
The game is due to be released on the App Store before the end of March and it will be available for Android and Windows Phone 7 devices shortly after that.

12/1/2012. Czech translation :o)
After the success with Steam's Super Indie Bundle we've reached a lot of new people. Among these new people we can count Mirek. He's an enthusiast Czech LightFish player that offered to translate the game to Czech. Unfortunately we can't support proper multilingual options for LightFish due to lack of time and resources (we're bloody busy at the moment with the iOS/Android ports ;o). Anyway we can provide the file translated along with some brief instructions on how to use it. Download the game from here.
To use it you just have to swap the original strings.txt (we recommend doing a backup copy before the swap) for the one you download. You can find the file in the game's directory which is under the Steam's directory. So, let's assume that you have installed Steam in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam, then you have to copy the strings.txt file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\lightfish\Content\Localization.
Hope this pleases and helps all our Czech users!

25/10/2011. LightFish on Xbox...
I'd like to announce that LightFish is finally playable on the Xbox! It's been "released" but unavailable for the last 2 days due to problems with the system that Microsoft has finally sorted out.
I'd like to apologize to everyone that download the demo and, specially, to those that bought the game and found they couldn't play. I would like to emphasize that it was completely out of our control, that it was an Xbox issue that had nothing to do with Eclipse Games. Anyway, our most sincere apologies for whatever inconvenience it may have caused.
We hope you haven't still given up on the game and that you'll give it a go and check it out. We all in Eclipse Games believe it deserves a chance.
19/10/2011. LightFish is on Steam!
So LightFish is finally gold! And that's not all, it's available to download on Steam! We're so happy about it. We're really proud of what we've achieved with LightFish and we sincerely hope you'll like the game. It's available for PC and Mac on Steam for $4.49 (it's got a 10% discount the first week, it'll $4.99 after that). It's got a demo too, so you've got no excuse not to check it out ;o). 1/9/2011. More LightFish Screenshots!
So you wonder what have we been doing all this time? It's itching you, and you really need an answer to that question, right? Well, we've been working hard on LightFish! We've been developing the version we had further and it's now shaping up quite nicely. We will be developing the game for quite a few platforms, but we will start releasing the game for Xbox (Live Indie Games) and PC (hopefully through Steam!) at some point in October. At least that's the date we're aiming for. We'll add more info when we have a precise release date. After that, a version for iOS (iPhone & iPad), Android and Windows Phone 7 (and most possibly Mac) will follow (hopefully in Novemenber).
In the meantime you can still enjoy these new LightFish screenshots!
21/6/2011. LightFish uncovered!
Our latest project, LightFish, has been finally uncovered! We had been working a few months on this concept and we're so proud to announce that we're presenting it already. The game is still in the works, but we expect to have it ready early this Fall. It's a reimagining of a classic that's promising to be a highly addictive arcade title. The game is planned for quite a few platforms. We can't say which ones yet, but it's going to be our first game in many of those platforms. What we can already confirm is that it's going for the PC and the Xbox 360, and that it's been presented to the Dream.Build.Play contest. Wish us luck! (we certainly need it!)
16/4/2011. The PC version of Toy Cars is available on Desura!
We are very pleased to announce that Toy Cars is now available on Desura. According to them \"Desura is a community driven digital distribution service for gamers, putting the best games, mods and downloadable content from developers at gamers fingertips, ready to buy and play\"... Does that mean that Toy Cars is one of the best games at gamers fingertips? Well I hope so! ;o). In any case, it's really great that these guys deemed Toy cars is good enough for the service and put it up for sale. You can also add reviews and stuff to our page for the game here.
We would like to encourage anyone to get a Desura account, if only to support these guys, since they are supporting the indie community on PC. And if you want to go and grab a copy of Toy Cars that's great too!

21/2/2011. Toy Cars has been released in XBLIG!
Toy Cars has finally made his way to Xbox Live! It's been hard work, it's taken very long (it's been around 2 years since I started working on the game) but I think it's been well worth the trouble. We'd love that lots of people give it a try and (hopefully) find it fun and worth the 80 MS points ($1) it's priced. We understand a lot of people don't have an Xbox 360 though, so we're currently working hard to get the PC version up and running in our website. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
8/2/2011. Eclipse Games webpage is now live!
This webpage is finally up and running. After quite some work we are proud to announce that an uncompleted, not very attractive, neither very polished webpage is online! It's not the best you can find out there, it's just the best we can do. Anyway, it's full of stuff. Well, not so much, but there are screenshots, a video, and lots of info on our new game: 'Toy Cars'. Just go to the games section if that's what you're looking for.
